When you add more reverb, your tone becomes washed out and indirect. If you’re looking for a natural guitar reverb, make sure you use the pedals that allow you to adjust the hall and room settings. A stompbox-style effect pedal is the most common auxiliary reverb method used by acoustic guitarists. The natural tendency of acoustic guitarists to use a lot of the effect of reverb can sometimes result in over-arranging of the sound. When they are properly positioned, they will not require any additional reverb effects.
